Maintenance on-calls
- All on-calls are voluntary and should be canvassed by seniority
- Anyone on vacation, sick, light duty, or unavailable cannot accept an on-call.
- The person on-call will respond on the first call.
- The on-call person is on-call for their area only.
- On-calls are not added to the overtime balance.
- When on-call and after working 16 hrs all other available workers will be canvassed to work before the on-call person can be forced in to work off of rest.
- If an on-call is vacant the Area Leader will canvass to fill it, if no one is found it will remain vacant.
- If the on-call person cannot be reached by phone he will be paged to respond.
